DEFINITIONS:

Parachute - kind of aircraft that is heavier than air

The student-skydiver - a person taking part in parachute practical training, not having a parachute license.

Skydiver - a person with a certificate or parachute license

Parachute instructor -  skydiver with a instructor licence who is authorized to instruct any skydive permissions

Training jump - a general term, including skydiving-related to training (school jump, training jump, and exam jump)

School training jump - a parachute jump that teaches and develops the skills required for a student

The aims of a training jump: assess, fix, improve, and maintain the skills necessary to jump on your own

Exam jump - a training (school) jump, which aims to assess the development and progress of the jumper skills required to pass training

PURPOSE OF THEORETICAL TRAINING
The purpose of theoretical training is to provide the proper level of aeronautical knowledge for the student. This knowledge is necessary for the license exam. The knowledge gained during the theoretical training is also directly useful in practical parachutist activity.

PURPOSE OF PRACTICAL TRAINING
The purpose of practical training is to achieve the required skills in all jumps, including:

  • preparing for the jump, including parachute technical checking and equipment used for the jump
  • proper use of parachute equipment during the jump
  • analysis of weather conditions
  • implementing safety during exiting of the aircraft and throught all jump elements during the free fall
  • full control of the parachute

Before training, each student should have a PERSONAL STUDENT FOLDER
It should contain:

  • parachute training agreement
  • student declaration
  • parent consent or legal guardian (if applicant is below 18)
  • copy of certificate, indicating completion of threshold conditions (if required)
  • copy of protocols, exams of completed theoretical training (if required)
  • current copies of licenses / certificates (if required)
  • other documents related to the student, personal dates are kept in the personal student folder by Training Manager
  • permission of the processing of personal data for skydive training purposes in the Center

INSTRUCTOR SUPERVISION DURING PARACHUTE JUMPS
Instructor activities that require student supervision:
Before jumping:

Ground preparation includes

  • instruction before the jump
  • assessment preparation for the jump
  • write-in for the loading list, for each student
  • grant permission to jump

During jumps:

Maintains control of the supervised jumps, by:

  • video recording the student's jumping techniques
  • gathering assessments made by the jump manager and other students of his or her jump technique
  • tracking changes in meteorological conditions over the airfield
  • helping the student with any problems they may have during the jumps
  • giving signals and commands to the students
  • giving appropriate instructions or relevant information via radio

After the jump, the instructor provides a briefing in order to analyze the video and information gathered during his or her jump. Mistakes and areas for improvement are discussed.
